How do I install a Ledvance LED tube?
You start the installation by switching off the power - regardless of whether you want to replace a fluorescent tube with a Ledvance LED tube or not. If a starter is required, you must replace the old starter with an LED version. Unlike conventional fluorescent tubes, Ledvance LED tubes do not require a glow starter, but an LED starter. You connect this to an LED tube suitable for conventional ballasts. A starter is already included with many LEDs. You can find out whether this is the case from the product description or the product image. Ledvance LED tubes with an electronic ballast do not require a starter. You then proceed by removing the protective caps (if present) from the Ledvance LED tube and pushing the tube into the socket with both hands. Turn the tube slightly to lock it into place, then you can switch the power back on and the installation is complete.
