|
Energy efficiency class | F |
i
Every bulb or fixture has an energy efficiency class A to G. Energy label A is the most efficient and G the least. LED lighting is the most sustainable lighting technique. Even if a LED bulb is rated E or lower, they still save 70% of energy compared to conventional lighting with the same energy label. Why is it the same label then? To motivate LED brands to get even more durable.
|
Energy efficiency class old | A+ | |
Average Lifetime (h) | 15000 |
Technology | LED |
i
The technology indicates the operating base of a light source. The most well-known and energy-efficient example is LED. Other techniques include Halogen, gas discharge, TL (fluorescent) and the light bulb.

Product Type Category | GU5.3 LED |
i
This filter allows you to refine your search by selecting specific types of light sources. Choose from options such as LED bulbs, LED tubes, or LED spots to find the perfect lighting solution for your needs.
|
Replaces (Watt) | 50 |
i
This indicates which wattage of your old/conventional lighting is replaced by this LED product.
|
Voltage (V) | 12 |
i
Lighting with a voltage of 220-240 Volt can be connected directly to the mains. Lighting with a different mains voltage (12 Volt and 24 Volt) requires an (electronic) transformer.
|
Wattage | 6.5 |
i
The wattage indicates how much energy a light source consumes. With LED lighting, the wattage is considerably lower than with conventional lighting. LED lamps with a higher wattage generally also have a higher light intensity (number of lumens).
|
Beam Angle (degree) | 36 |
i
A beam angle indicates the angle of the light beam coming from a light source. The smaller the radiation angle in degrees (D), the narrower the beam angle.
|
Dimmable | Dimmable |
i
When you dim lights, the full power does not have to be used. You therefore save extra on energy costs. Dimmable lamps can also be used to create an extra cosy atmosphere. Keep in mind that you need a LED dimmer to dim LED lights.
|
Cap / Base | GU5.3 |
i
The cap/base of a bulb is the part that connects it to the socket in the fixture. E27 (Edison screw) and E24 (small Edison screw) caps/bases are among the most popular, although this depends on your location. GU10 is generally the most common cap/base for spotlights. Check which cap/base you need carefully as many other types are also available.
|
Colour temperature (Kelvin) | 2700K - Extra Warm White |
i
|
Colour Code | 827 Extra Warm White |
i
The colour code is a combination of colour rendering (CRI) and light colour (Kelvin). The first number indicates the colour rendering (1 = very poor colour rendering, 9 = maximum colour fastness). The second and third number contains the light colour. Example: the colour code 830 consists of good colour rendering (8) and warm white light (3000K).
|
Colour Rendering (Ra) | 80-89 |
i
Colour rendering is also known as Colour Rendering Index (CRI) and indicates the extent to which a light source reproduces colours, compared to the actual colours in daylight. Products with a good (80-89 Ra) or excellent (90-99 Ra) colour rendering show minimal deviations in the colour spectrum.
|
Luminous Flux (Lumen) | 550 |
i
The number of lumens (lm) is the light output of a light source. The higher the number of lumens, the more light the light source emits. The wattage and the number of lumens are not connected to each other. An LED lamp with a low wattage can have a higher number of lumens than a conventional lamp with a high wattage.
|
Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) | 84.6 |
i
The Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) indicates how efficiently a light source uses energy. We divide the number of lumens by the wattage. The higher the number, the more efficient a product is in terms of energy consumption. LED lighting has a considerably higher lumen/Watt ratio than conventional lighting.

LED replacement for conventional GU5.3 spotlight
Conventional GU5.3 spotlights like halogen ones are nowhere near as efficient as LED ones. This Noxion LED MR16 GU5.3 spotlight can be used as a direct replacement. As well as saving you money in energy costs, it lasts a lot longer too.
Lifespan of 15,000 uur
A halogen spotlight typically lasts only 2,000 hours whereas this LED spotlight lasts up to 15,000 hours! That's 7.5 times longer!
2-year warranty
This Noxion spotlight comes complete with our Any-lamp, all-in warranty of 2 years. In the unlikely event that it fails within this time period, simply get in touch with our customer service team for help.
Beam angle of 36º
A beam angle of 36º means that this spotlight is suitable for general lighting applications in personal or professional situations. To find out more about beam angles, take a look at our blog on the subject.
Extra warm white light
This Noxion LED spotlight has a colour temperature of 3000 Kelvin which means it emits an extra warm white light that's perfect for creating a cosy atmosphere almost anywhere.
Runs on 12 volts
Halogen GU5.3 spotlights normally run on 12 volts and so does this one. That means the use of a transformer is also required.
Replaces 50W
When replacing a halogen spotlight, you should check its wattage first. Be aware that an LED spotlight uses a much lower wattage to emit the same amount of light. This Noxion LED MR16 GU5.3 spotlight bulb, for instance, uses only 6W to replace a 50W halogen spotlight.
Dimmable
This LED spotlight bulb is dimmable. You should be aware that not all LED bulbs can be dimmed though. It's also important to make sure that the dimmer you use is compatible with LED bulbs.
