This lamp has a "Aluminium Reflector" (AR111) shape with a diameter of 111mm and the lamp caps are 53mm apart from each other. G53 lamps are safer in moist rooms than 230 Volt halogen bulbs, because they work on 12 Volt. Therefore a transformer is needed to transform the voltage to 12 Volt.
