Waterproof LED Battens
The impact protection value (IK) stands for impact resistance and protection against vandalism. This is expressed in combination with 2 digits (IK00 - IK10). Products with IK00 are not protected against resistance. Products with IK10 offer resistance to shocks of 20 Joule and are also vandal-proof.
The IP value indicates the degree of protection against the ingress of moisture and dust. The 1st digit (0 = not protected until 6 = completely dustproof) indicates the protection against dust. The 2nd digit (0 = not protected until 8 = protected against immersion) indicates the protection against water. Products with an IP44 rating are splashproof and products with an IP65 rating or higher are (completely) dustproof and waterproof.
Lighting with a built-in emergency lighting unit (battery) continues to burn for a certain time if the power fails.
Every bulb or fixture has an energy efficiency class A to G. Energy label A is the most efficient and G the least. LED lighting is the most sustainable lighting technique. Even if a LED bulb is rated E or lower, they still save 70% of energy compared to conventional lighting with the same energy label. Why is it the same label then? To motivate LED brands to get even more durable.
Our all-in warranty is fully included in the product price and covers both hidden defects and technical defects of the product that occurred before delivery. The warranty period differs per product and ranges from 1 year to a maximum of 7 years.
What is the advantage of waterproof battens?
These diffuser lights are specially designed for damp rooms. They have a very high IP protection class (at least IP44). IP44 waterproof battens are splash-proof, i.e. they are only made for indoor use. If you need a light for outdoor use, we recommend choosing a model with protection class IP65 or higher. Products with IP65 are dust and waterproof. Those with an IP66 protection rating, on the other hand, are completely waterproof and dustproof. These battens are suitable for ceiling lighting in industrial facilities, car parks, warehouses and corridors.
Are waterproof battens with sensor available?
Yes, we offer waterproof battens with various sensors. You can choose between twilight switches or motion sensors, and some products also have both sensors. These help you to save electricity because the light is only switched on when it is needed.
Do all waterproof battens have an integrated light source?
No, in our range you will find waterproof battens with and without an integrated light source. If you opt for a light with a light source, you will always receive a modern and efficient LED. If you opt for a model without a light source, you will find information on suitable light sources in both the product title and the product data. At this point, we recommend using our filter function, which allows you to easily display exactly the diffuser lights that are suitable for your area of application.
Are there dimmable waterproof battens?
Yes, but not all wet room bath lights can be dimmed. Those with a dimming function have the advantage that you can adjust the brightness of the lights as required. Some battens are even DALI-compatible - so you can control several lamps at the same time.
How to install a waterproof batten?
Installing a waterproof baaten is not difficult and can be completed in just a few steps. Simply follow our step-by-step instructions.
1. switch off the power and remove the fuse 2. mount the metal brackets on the ceiling 3. clip the light into the metal brackets.
If you have purchased a batten light without an integrated light source, the LED is installed at this point.
Are there waterproof battens with integrated emergency lighting?
